Guided Salmon Fishing:
Salmon fishing in Alaska is out of this world! Occasionally you can look into the streams and see nothing but salmon from shore to shore. If you choose to do so, you can try your own luck by providing your own fishing gear and driving to the streams to fish on your own. However, when the salmon are running in the rivers near places accessible by road, you can bet that the banks will be loaded with other fishermen. In Alaska, we call that “Combat Fishing”. Why bump elbows with hundreds of other fishermen who are standing right next to you. Get away from the roads and the crowds. Go on a guided fishing adventure with the professionals and greatly increase your chances of success. Alaska Backcountry Adventure Tours can go one step further by taking you on a guided fly in salmon fishing trip deep into the wilderness of Alaska.
We can set up your fishing trip as a day trip, or you can spend multiple nights in our plush Denali View Cabin which is situated on a bluff with a breath taking view of “The Great One”. That’s right, on a clear day, after an exciting day of fishing, you can relax on the front deck, or on the sofa in the living room and marvel at our gorgeous view of Mt. Denali (Mt. McKinley).
We will arrange your air travel aboard an Alaska Bush Plane to our remote location in the wilderness of Alaska on the Yentna River. You will be fishing with the most successful guides on the river with some of the best equipment made. Our guides know where the fish are and they can get you in the middle of them. At the end of the day our overnight guests will return to the cabin for a great dinner. In the evenings you can enjoy a walk in the woods or just relax and rest up for the next day of fishing.
In the morning, after a home cooked breakfast, grab your lunch and will climb aboard the boat again for another exciting experience on the river. Be sure to bring your camera for photographs of the mighty salmon you will catch as well as the breath taking scenery you will enjoy as you travel and fish on the river.
If your plans for your next vacation to Alaska included things such as salmon fishing, flight seeing, viewing Mt. Denali (Mt. McKinley), or a trip into the Alaska’s wilderness, why not book your guided fishing trip with Alaska Backcountry Adventure Tours and see all of this in one great adventure. The peace and serenity you will experience will leave you craving to come back. The memories of this trip will be with you forever.
